Croatian Luka Plantic will defend the WBC international super middleweight title on May 23 at home in Zagreb. The opponent is still to be announced.

Plantic, who represented Crotia at the 2020 Olympics, is 11-0 (9 KOs) as a professional.

Arena Box Promotion, headed by Ahmet Oner, will stage the show alongside Grand Boxing Promotion. The current, and tentative, bill-topper is Labinot Xhoxhaj, 20-0-1 (16 KOs), making a mandatory defense of the EBU heavyweight title against French southpaw, Mourad Aliev, 13-0 (10 KOs). However, that clash could yet land on a Universum show on June 7 in Germany. "I will make a decision next week," said Oener, who is also an advisor for Universum.

For the 32-year-old Xhoxhaj, this is the first defense of the title he won in a big upset when he beat favored Ukrainian Oleksandr Zakhozhyi late last year.
