According to a recent report in the BBC, there is a plan already in the works for a September return for Joe Calzaghe, in what Calzaghe promoter Frank Warren is calling a "huge fight."
"We have a couple of ideas about who he will meet but we're keeping them quiet until the contract is signed. As soon as a name gets out, the money goes up, but it will be a huge fight. Everyone will be pleased when they hear the name, especially if our top target comes through," Warren told the BBC.
Due to scheduling conflicts, several names are not in the running. Champions Markus Beyer and Mikkel Kesler have agreed to fight in October, Glen Johnson and Clinton Woods are likely to clash as well, leaving Roy Jones Jr. as the top man in the running - should he win his next fight against Prince Badi Ajamu in July.
