WBC President Jose Sulaiman says that Manny Pacquiao has defined himself as the best boxer in the world.

Don Jose who was at ringside to watch Pacquiao resoundingly defeat a brave but overwhelmed David Diaz in nine one-sided rounds said: “To me Manny Pacquiao last Saturday showed himself to be the best boxer of any division in the world today.

“I’ve never seen him so perfect in throwing of all his punches. He was so intelligent to come in at exactly  the right moment, completely dominating his rival with a speed which was the same as when he was a featherweight. Manny is the best of the best!”

Don Jose said he felt the fight should have been stopped by the end of the sixth round. But he was quick to praise David Diaz for magnificent courage and fighting spirit saying: “What a fighter. My God, he has a big heart, as very few possess.”

Concerning a possible  re-match between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez, which previously seemed to be a strong possibility, but Don Jose succinctly commented: “Marquez decided to go to the minor leagues and fight for a different title.”
