WBC President Jose Sulaiman says if Vitali Klitschko wants to unify his WBC title against WBA champion David Haye - then a voluntary defense could be acceptable.

The main aim is for Vitali to fight a compulsory against the winner of the final eliminator between Odlanier Solis and Nikolai Valuev, but Ray Austin has taken out a court injunction against this eliminator.

The Klitschko brothers are more than keen to gain Haye's WBA belt, so they can add it to their WBC, IBF and WBO versions. They’ve also said they want to stop his goading and shut his mouth.

Don Jose, who praises Vitali as a champion in the ring and a champion in life, says that boxing wise - Haye isn’t in his class. But if Vitali wants to fight Haye as a voluntary defense then this proposal could be voted on by the WBC’s Board of Governors.

Don Jose commented to BoxingScene.com: “Haye likes to talk and challenge. That’s his life, and his way of making himself famous. But when you talk, you then have to prove it in the ring!”
