Subriel Matias and Dalton Smith have both made weight ahead of Saturday’s WBC junior welterweight title fight at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

This afternoon Matias hit the scales at 140.0lbs, while Smith came in at 139.6lbs.

Matias, 23-2 (22 KOs), recently became a two-time titleholder with a majority decision win over Alberto Puello in July. The 33-year-old from Fajardo, Puerto Rico will now be making the first defense of his newly acquired title.

England’s Smith, 18-0 (13 KOs), will also face a few firsts with this bout. It is obviously his first world title fight, but it is also his first fight in the United States. Smith, 28, defeated Mathieu Germain via a 12-round unanimous decision in April and has been the WBC No.1 contender since February.

The bout will be available in the United States on PPV.com.
