STUEY HALL has already be KO’d while preparing to face Ian Napa for the vacant British bantamweight title.
But Hall (7-0-1) who faces the former two-time champion at Peterlee Leisure Centre on Friday (June 4) hasn’t been troubles by sparring partners – the pain has come from not working.
Darlington’s Hall runs a roofing business, but has been forced to let his customers put up with leaks preparing full-time for two months at trainer Mike Marsden’s Leeds gym.
Hall who gatecrashed the domestic scene when he shocked Martin Power last September said: “It is my destiny to win this fight and the sacrifices will be worthwhile.
"I think I'm progressing well considering I left the amateur game relatively late in my career.
“For that I have a lot to thank Mick Marsden whose management has been unbelievable. I've had some very good sparring at Leeds and I’m in the condition
of my life.”
The north-east has been a hot bed for British bantamweight with former champions including Hartlepool’s John Feeney and Sunderland ace Billy Hardy.
Hall, 30, added: "Napa is a class act but he's got to get to me on the night. He's only 5ft 1in and I'm 5ft 8in so the height advantage is clearly with me.
Also on the talent stacked bill is Sunderland’s Olympic bronze medallist Tony Jeffries (6-0) who faces tough Derby battler Matt Hainy (6-0-1).
Heavyweight Dave Ferguson (11-2) faces Paul Butlin (12-11) and leading British lightweight John Watson (12-0) is also in action.
