Steve Scott has been named Vice President of IBO (International Boxing Organization) Asia-Pacific, the sanctioning body announced Thursday afternoon.

Although based normally in Dunedin, New Zealand, Steve also maintains residences in Queensland, Australia and Angeles City, Philippines. He is a successful business entrepreneur and long time participant in the sport of boxing.

His boxing background is extensive. He has over 32 years of experience in boxing having started briefly as a corner man and a short stint as a successful trainer. He has served as the Ring Official's Chairman Queensland branch of ANBF, supervised fights and 30 plus years as a referee and judge. He has also been an IBO licensed world title official for the past 12 years and has officiated in many world title fights.

He is well respected in the Australasian boxing community and known for his honesty, integrity and boxing knowledge. 

 The IBO is pleased to have him on board and we know that he will continue our rapid growth in the Asia Pacific region.
