The Steve Collins Freight Train kept rumbling forward to a 22-1 record with his biggest win to date, a shutout over six rounds against Big Roderick Willis, who drops to 14-6-1.  The two Super Heavyweights headlined the card named "When Mountains Collide" which was promoted by former heavyweight champion Lou Savarese and also featured three other heavyweight prospects.  Savarese returned to The Houston Club in downtown Houston, Texas, for his latest installment of Ballroom Boxing.

The steady flow of able bodied opponents from the Texarkana area continued with the hometown Houston boxers all scoring either first round stoppages or unanimous decision shutouts.

Jennifer "Superstar" Scott illustrated the difficulty in progressing female fighter's careers in the current boxing scene by duplicating her professional debut effort in again crushing Geboria Mayfield.  Willing to travel to her opponents' hometowns, Mayfield has been able to procure many fights since they first met, while Scott continues to find disappointment at the scales when planned fights do not materialize.  She's even taken up an MMA career in an effort to find more ring appearances.

Miguel Flores shined in outclassing a game Julio Valdez, who’s been in matches with many standout amateurs and held his own.  The seventeen year old Flores continuously attacked Valdez’s body, dropping him to the canvas in the third round.  Valdez used tricks and delay tactics in order to recover from the blows and survive until the final bell.

Tyrone “Solja Black” Selders continued to impress the Savarese faithful with another overwhelming victory in both of his appearances in this elegant ballroom.  Selders showed that his hard work and dedication at Main gym a few miles up the street is paying off with another knockout, this one coming with a well placed uppercut.

Houston is in the midst of a Heavyweight Explosion at this time with a bevy of recent debuts, pro prospects, and championship contenders training at area gyms and fighting above 200 lbs.  Three of those prospects got to show off their wares tonight.  Texas Golden Gloves state champion Justin Jones slugged it out with rugged local fighter and trainer Angel “El Gallo” Herrera en route to a competitive but one-sided victory.  Converted kick boxer Skip Scott fought for the first time in his adopted hometown and showed improved patience while outclassing and out-tooling Chris Abercrombie.  “Showtime” Fred Allen impressed the crowd with a tenacious attack that disposed of veteran Douglas “Preacherman” Robertson in the first stanza.  Soon after the bell, Allen commenced the 1-2 straight left-right combinations which pressed Robertson to the ropes and covered up.  After absorbing too many head shots and not offering any punches in return, referee Sam Garza waved it off.

Former boxing great Gerry Cooney was in attendance fitting in with the heavyweight theme of the evening.  Former Astros great Jose Cruz also came out for a night of boxing, along with many other area dignitaries and professionals.  Many area boxers came out to support their stable mates and training partners including J.C. Candelo, Chris Henry, Eugene Hill, Zack Page, Nagy Aguilera, Chase Shields, Rayonta Whitfield, and Omar Henry.
