Stephen Smith-Martin Lindsay Clash in The Works?

New British featherweight champion Stephen Smith could make a first defence of his title against Martin Lindsay.

Former belt holder Lindsay is on a list of fighters drawn up as potential opponents.

Swity, who won the British title with a majority decision victory over John Simpson last week, could also look to European level.

The Scouser also holds the Commonwealth title, and is now unbeaten in 12 fights as a professional.

Lindsay lost to Simpson in Belfast before Christmas.

But the Northern Irishman, who boasts a win over Paul Appleby, is keen to get his title back.
