All signs are pointing to Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford engaging in a firefight come Saturday night for their undisputed welterweight title tilt at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Showtime pay per view.

Spence has already started visualizing his potential path to victory.

“When you go through the fight in your head, a million different scenarios flow through your head. Basically, for me, it’s just winning the fight and dictating my jab and, you know, sometimes range, in and out, and just different types of scenarios because I know he’s a great fighter,” Spence told BoxingScene.com in an interview.

“So it has to be different scenarios and in different moves that are going to happen in the fight. I believe my determination [will help me win the fight].

“For me, it’s staying focused, going over the game plan with my coach [Derrick James], doing it over and over in my head, and just playing out the fight and making sure that I left no stone unturned so I can be 100% prepared inside the ring.”

Spence (28-0, 22 KOs) and Crawford (39-0, 30 KOs) have both done a commendable job carrying the welterweight torch over the last half decade.

The Texan Spence and Nebraskan Crawford currently own all of the 147-pound belts between them – Spence the WBC, WBA, and IBF, Crawford the WBO – but only one of them can become boxing’s first-ever undisputed champion of the four-belt era, which began in 1988.

Spence realizes all-time bragging rights are at stake.

“Because it’s the No. 1 guy vs. No. 2 guy – the best vs. the best; two undefeated guys,” said Spence. “I know for a fact we’re one of the two best fighters in boxing. “So, I feel like this makes it huge because we don’t always get this where you get two top pound-for-pound guys fighting each other.

“It makes it huge, and he has exciting fights where he gets knockouts, and I have exciting fights where I get knockouts, and we’ve both been on the top of the game for a long time.”
