Sources report that Curtis Woodhouse has signed a promotional deal with Frank Warren. The Driffield-based boxer will make his next appearance on the undercard of Paul Smith's British super middleweight title defence against Darren McDermott at the ECHO Arena, Liverpool on October 23rd. Woodhouse, 14-1 (9), is now a step closer to settling matters with 'Funtime' Frankie Gavin, the two have verbally battered one another in recent months and could now face one another in the ring some time down the line.
For now, though, the 30-year-old former footballer will concentrate on his October date, putting Gavin to the back of his mind as he seeks to notch up a fifteenth professional win and in the process head further towards his oft-stated dream of winning the British title.
