According to Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum, WBC lightweight champion Humberto Soto will make the third defense of his title against Urbano Antillon on December 4 Latin Fury pay-per-view from The Pond in Anaheim, California. Since the loss to Miguel Acosta, Antillon (28-1, 20 KOs) has been rebuilding what was once a bright up and coming career. He won two straight since the loss and a win over Soto (53-7-2, 32 KOs) would put him back in the mix for bigger opportunities. Soto is riding an eight fight win streak, with four of the wins coming by way of knockout.
The main event of the pay-per-view will feature Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (40-0, 30 KOs) taking on Alfonso Gomez (22-4-2, 11 KOs). Also WBA interim super flyweight champion Nonito Donaire (24-1, 16 KOs) will go against former WBA bantamweight champion Wladimir Sidorenko (22-2-2, 7 KOs).
