Edgar Sosa is looking for an early knockout when he returns next month to face brave Japanese boxer Kenichi Horikawa. Edgar said before a swarm of reporters that "I'm happy to return to the Arena Mexico, where people respond to me very well."
As for his training he said "I've prepared very well and I'm close to facing Pongsaklek Wonjongkam (WBC flyweight), who has a lot of defenses, but noone is invincible. I respect Kenichi, for the moment."
He issued an open invitation "to everyone to come out and support me on the day of the fight. The prices are affordable and we must fill the arena. I thank Grupo Modelo and the television network for supporting my role on April 2."
Sosa said that "the Japanese opponent will help us realize where we are. Horikawa is combative, I accepted him as an opponent because I like to face good opponents."
He stressed that "I am in the strong stage of my preparation. I will bring a lot of conditioning to put on an extraordinary show. I'll Fight aggressively from the start and look for a convincing knockout."
The WBC international flyweight champion said, "My opponent has good technique. It will be a big fight that the public will enjoy. I have a video of him, and we analyze it with my team."
