WBC junior flyweight champion Edgar Sosa is no longer interested in targeting unification bouts with Ivan Calderon and Brian Viloria. Sosa made an easy ninth defense of his title last Saturday night in Mexico, stopping Carlos Melo in five one-sided rounds. He plans to make the tenth defense of his title in September, with a venue in Mexico being the likely host.

"My next defense is going to be in September in a place within the Mexican Republic, but that would have to happen after I talk with my promoter. Regardless it's ideal to make my tenth defense in Mexico. It would be a spectacle for the people," Sosa told

.

Sosa said if Calderon or Viloria want a piece of him, they need to come calling.

"They have to come searching for the title, not me searching for them. I have a belt that everybody wants, which is the WBC. The truth is, it doesn't really interest me to unify with Calderon or Viloria.
