In the backdrop of Kevin Johnson's withdrawal, heavyweight prospect and 2004 Olympic gold medal winner Odlanier Solis (14-0, 10KOs) will now face veteran Fres Oquendo (31-5, 20KOs) on the Latin Fury undercard on October 10 at Madison Square Garden in New York.

The two were previously scheduled to fight on a May 22 ESPN card. Solis withdrew after suffering a training injury. The withdrawal led to the two fighters exchanging some very nasty insults in the press. By far Oquendo will be Solis' toughest test in the ring. There are high hopes for Solis but the fighter has displayed a lot of cracks in his armor with weight issues and lackluster rounds.
