Sipho Taliwe will defend his WBC international junior lightweight title against Godfrey Nzimande on March 18.
The fight will be the main bout of a Golden Gloves-African Ring Promotions box-and-dine bill at Emperors Palace, Kempton Park.
Taliwe, who is ranked fourth in his division by the WBC, was held to a draw by Nzimande three years ago.
A veteran of twelve years as a professional, Nzimande may find it difficult to repeat the feat against the impressive, in-form champion this time.
But his experience could be an important factor in a fight that Taliwe dares not lose because a title fight against WBC champion Gamaliel Diaz is a possibility if he wins well.
In the main supporting bout, Jasper Seroka will take on Joey Stiglingh for the vacant African Boxing Union junior lightweight title.
Stiglingh lost a closely contested fight against Seroka in 2011 and has finally been granted the rematch he has wanted ever since.
The organisers also announced that up-and-coming Kevin Lerena will fight an opponent yet to be named after his victory over Paraguayan Javier Corrales at the same venue last Saturday.
