Peter Quillin (24-0, 18 KOs) is searching for a new opponent after learning that his scheduled foe, Tarvis Simms (27-1-1, 11 KOs), has been forced to pull out of their July 23rd clash because of a rib injury, as first reported by Michael Coppinger of RingTV.com. The ten round middleweight bout was scheduled for the undercard of the Amir Khan-Zab Judah unification at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
“Obviously, I’m just very frustrated,” said the 40-year-old Simms. “I was sparring and things were just going really well for me here in Houston. I winded up sitting down to slip a punch and throw a punch as well and in the process my Everlast cup came up and injured my ribs."
