Tonight, live on Showtime, we will have a very interesting triple header. Any one of these three bouts can turn into hot fight. The first bout of the evening will pit undefeated heavyweight contender Samuel Peter (20-0, 17 KOs) against seasoned heavyweight Jeremy Williams (41-4-1, 36 KOs) for the vacant North American Boxing Federation (NABF) heavyweight title. Peter is being groomed as the next big thing in the heavyweight division, we hear it a lot in the heavies but some say this kid got the stuff. Jeremy Williams is less then impressed with Peter's punching power and predicts that he will knock Peter out.
In the evening’s second televised bout, IBF Super Middleweight Champion Jeff Lacy (17-0, 14 KOs) will make his ifirst defense of his title against the always tough Omar Sheika (26-6, 17 KOs). Lacy is on the road to superstardom and Sheika is in his path. Both men love to throw power punches and everyone seems to agree that this fight will not go the full 12 rounds, one man will be on his back before the night is over.
Lacy appears to have that superstar spark in his body but, you can never count Sheika out. Sheika holds some very decent wins in his career, one of those wins is a ten round majority decision over former light heavyweight champion Glen Johnson.
The main event promises some fireworks as former WBA Super Featherweight Champion Joel Casamayor (31-2, 19 KOs) moves up in weight to challenge two-time WBC Lightweight Champion Jose Luis Castillo (50-6-1, 45 KO). There are those that still see Casamayor as an undefeated fighter, some feel he was robbed in his only two losses to Acelino Freitas and Diego Corrales. On the other hand, there are many that see Castillo as the fighter who was robbed of a decision win over the man who many consider the best pound for pound fighter in the world, Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Both guys are known as dirty fighters, both have power, both can slug and both can box. There has been some debate over who has the harder punch, more experts lean towards Castillo as the fighter who has more pop in his punches. This fight has the potential to be in the running for fight of the year if both guys fight at the top of their game.

The first bout of the evening is Jeremy Williams vs. Samuel Peter.
Round 1 - Williams starts jabbing, they are fighting and holding. Break by the ref. They seem to both be looking for big shots inside. Peter is coming off better with his power shots, Williams better with the jab. Big left by Williams. Good uppercut by Williams. Another left by Williams, Williams is much quicker at this point then Peter. Right by Peter at the bell. Close round for Williams.
Round 2 - Both guys are jabbing. Huge shot by Peter and Williams is out cold on his back. Forget the count, this fight is over. Peter's prediction comes true with a second round KO win. Williams is still out cold in the ring, doctors all around checking on him.
What a monster left hook by Peter, it was right on the jaw and Williams is still out cold. Doctors are trying to get the mouthpiece out of his mouth.
Williams has opened his eyes and the doctors are trying to get him up slow. Williams said that he cant walk, he needs to sit for a few minutes.
Official time was 27 seconds of round two, new NABF heavyweight champion Samuel Peter. Williams still in the ring and unable to leave yet, he will take a trip out of the hospital once he is able to walk.
Samuel Peter said that he wants WBC champion Vitali Klitschko next.
Jeff Lacy vs. Omar Sheika is up next.
Both men are in the ring and they are about to be announced by Jimmy Lennon Jr.

Round 2 - Jabbing by Sheika. Right hand over the top by Lacy. Another big right by Lacy. Sheika's face is already red. Big right by Sheika, Lacy is stunned. Sheika beating on Lacy against the ropes. Another right by Sheika, Lacy just covering and trying to weather the storm. Sheika going to the body. Lacy seems to be getting his head back but Sheika is now taking the lead. Sheika takes the round big.
Round 3 - Lacy now coming out with purpose, Sheika pumping his measuring jab. Ref warning both men to keep it clean. A lot of holding right now by both men. Good right by Sheika. Big right by Lacy, another right by Lacy and now Sheika with a right. Sheika jabbing. Sheika going to the body. Both guys are winging bombs. Close round for Lacy.

Round 4 - Lacy trying to push Sheika aginst the ropes. What a right by Sheika, Lacy takes it well. Monster bodyshot by Sheika. Another bodyshot by Sheika. Right by Lacy. Sheika with a combo. Sheika holds Lacy and ties him up whenever Lacy gets off. Good left by Lacy. Good combo by Sheika. Jabbing by Sheika. Lacy with a right. Close round for Sheika.
Round 5 - Sheika gets hit by a left from Lacy. Right by Sheika. Plenty of holding. Punches up and down by Sheika. Combo by Sheika. Uppercut by Lacy. Grazing right by Lacy. Left hook to the jaw by Sheika. Right by Sheika. Sheika gets another close round.

Round 6 - Ref stops the action to tell both guys to stop the holding and fight. Good right by Lacy. Left by Sheika. Combo by Sheika. Left to the body by Lacy. Right by Lacy. Uppercut by Sheika. Bodyshot by Sheika. Combo to the body by Sheika. Both guys throwing some bombs at the end. Sheika gets another round. Maybe it's just me, but it's hard to give Lacy rounds where Sheika is outworking him and appears to be controlling the fight.

Round 7 - Both guys are fighting in close and exchanging bodyshots. Sheika now with combos to the head. Bodyshot by Sheika. Big right by Lacy, another right by Lacy. Sheika comes back with an uppercut. Lacy with a huge combo, now Sheika comes back with some huge bombs of his own. What a round, crowd stands on their feet at the end. Round for Lacy.
Round 8 - Lacy now trying to lay into Sheika. Sheik with a combo, Lacy is now stalking Sheika around the ring. Blood from the lower lip of Lacy. Both guys going to the body. Jab by Lacy, right by Lacy. Flurry by both at the end. Lacy with another round.
Sheika either took the last round off or he is fading
Round 9 - Combo by Sheika, jabbing by Sheika. Still plenty of holding going on. Right by Lacy, and another. Great left hook by Lacy. Combo and uppercut by Sheika. Lacy just muscling Sheika to the corner. Great combo by Sheika, good body work tonight by Sheika. Double left hook by Lacy. Sheika hurt by a right hand, shakes it off. Round 12 - Both guys are holding, Lacy is trying to get in with some shots and iis pressing to snatch this final round. Sheika not doing much so far but holding on. Sheika with a combo. Big left by Lacy. Sheika ties him up. Big right by Lacy. Uppercut by Sheika. Another big lefthook by Lacy. Both guys are throwing non-stop bombs at the end and the fight is over. Lacy takes the round.

Crowd boos for the second round in a row, Casamayor taking a close round. Too much holding and hitting by both men.
Round 6 - Time out to take off some vaseline on the face of Castillo. Combo ended with an uppercut by Casamayor. Right by Casamayor. Castillo chasing and missing with his shots. They bang heads. Four punch combo by Casamayor. Crowd booing as there is plenty of holding. Right by Castillo, good left by Casmayor. Another close round for Casmayor.

Round 7 - Right by Castillo, Castillo doing well with his punches now as he is starting to cut off the ring and land. Casamayor doing some body damage. Castillo lands a big left. Castillo is now landing good shots against the ropes and is landing a lot of his shots when they are close. Good round for Castillo.
Round 8 - Casamayor jabbing and now they are holding again. Casmayor lands some good shots on Castillo against the ropes. Castillo now putting the pressure back on and starting to come at Casamayor with shots up and down. Left hand by Casmayor. Castillo missing many shots now. They exchange bodyshots. Both guys throw several punches at eachother after the bell and the corners come into the ring as both men try to go after eachother again after the bell. Close round that can go to Castillo.
Round 9 - They are now jabbing, big right Casamayor. Casamayor winning the jabbing contest. Right by Castillo. Two good rights by Casamayor. Right eye of Casamayor looks puffy. Straight right by Casamayor. Left hook by Casamayor. Uppercut by Castillo. Casamayor gets another round. Some of these rounds are tough as hell to score.

Both men are now throwing punches toe to toe and both men getting off good shots. Close round for Castillo, he stole it on my card at the end.
Round 11 - Castillo stalking and chasing Casamayor. Castillo clsoing the distance, Good combo by Casamayor, good right by Casmayor. Castillo is scoring big when he is in close. Huge bodyshot that buckled the legs of Casmayor. Castillo with a close round on my card.

Round 12 - Both men come out throwing punches in close. Both guys are fighting with purpose in this round. Punches thrown by both men to the body and head at close range.
