The ex-WBC Empress with the name from the emerald Isle, is planning a spectacular comeback on January 17th in León, Guanajuato, so that Irish and Mexican eyes will be smiling.

Maureen Shea Carranza, who's originally from the Bronx, New York, is being guided back right to the top by Best Talent Promotions (BTP), after having signed for Héctor Martín García.

Nicknamed “The Real Millon Dollar Baby," Maureen's next opponent who'll soon be named has a daunting task. Maureen's has won twenty two times, eleven of which have been by knockout.

Shea is proud of her Mexican and Irish roots. A fan of the great Muhammad Ali, she herself became WBC interim-featherweight champion in December 2011, after defeating Colombia's tough Diana Áyala, in Estadio Centenario, Los Mochis, Sinaloa.
