BoxingScene.com recently caught up with former welterweight champion Shawn Porter (24-1-1, 15KOs). The former IBF champion is among the many were impressed by the performance of Amir Khan (30-3, 19KOs), who won a dominating twelve round unanimous decision against Devon Alexander on December 13th in Las Vegas.
"The fight went the way I thought it would go. I thought Amir's range and speed would be too much for Devon and that was proven in the ring. He controlled the action throughout the fight," said Porter.
Porter is planning to return to the ring in The first quarter of 2015 and said that he would love a shot at Khan next year.
"Of course I want a crack at Amir. I want a crack at anybody in my weight class and especially against a guy like Amir who just shined on Showtime. I want someone like that to showcase my skills against. I think it would be a great fight," Porter told BoxingScene.com.
