In a few short hours, former champions Shane Mosley and Sergio Mora will collide in the main event of an HBO pay-per-view presented live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The undercard is loaded, with Victor Ortiz facing Vivian Harris in a junior welterweight battle and Saul Alvarez meeting veteran Carlos Baldomir in a battle of junior middleweights.

The first non-televised bout of the evening featured Eric Areola (1-1) winning a four round majority decision over Missael Nunez (4-9-2). The scores were 40-36, 40-36 for Areola and 38-38 for the draw.

Junior welterweight Sharif Bogere (17-0, 11KOs) knocked out Julian Rodriguez (17-20-4) in the second round with a vicious left hand. 

Junior middleweight prospect Keith Thurman (14-0, 13KOs) survived a first round knockdown to batter Quandary Robertson (15-10) in three rounds. Thurman was dropped early when he was caught off-guard. He wasn't baldy hurt and later dropped Robertson in the same round and dropped him again in the second. Thurman dropped him hard in the third round, prompting the ref to step in.

Kaliesha West 13-1-2, 4 KOs) captured the vacant WBO bantamweight title by stopping Angel Gladney (6-3-1, 5 KOs) in the seventh round after a left hand sent Gladney crashing to the mat.

Lightweight David Rodela (15-3-4, 6 KOs) fought to a six round draw with Juan Manuel Montiel (6-3-2, 1KOs). There scores were 59-55 for Rodela, 57-57 and 57-57 for the draw.

Hot welterweight prospect Frankie Gomez (6-0, 6KOs) knocked out Ricardo Calzada (2-3, 1 KO) in three rounds.
