Former three division champion Shane Mosley has launched a verbal attack on WBA welterweight champion Antonio Margarito. After weeks of negotiations between Golden Boy Promotions and Top Rank to match the two fighters - Mosley has agreed on his end, but Margarito has yet to appear at the Top Rank office in Las Vegas to sign off on the fight contract.

Mosley says that he is ready to fight Margarito "when he wants, where he wants and how he wants." Once Margarito signs off, the fight will go forward on January 24 in Las Vegas with HBO televising.

A few weeks ago on BoxingScene.com, Margarito launched a verbal attack in the direction of Mosley, but now Mosley is firing back.

"After the fight with [Ricardo] Mayorga, I told everyone on television that I was ready to fight anyone, including Antonio Margarito and once more I'll repeat that I'll fight him when he wants, where he wants and how he wants," Molsey was quoted as saying by ESTO.

When the idea of the fight was brought about, Margarito said Mosley "was hiding in fear" and also said Shane had "pissed his pants" due to fear. Mosley says that it's Margarito who must have pissed his pants when he saw the fight was coming together.

"I don't believe that Margarito said that, it was probably his promoter [Bob Arum], who said 'I was hiding and pissed in my pants because of fear'. I believe that Margarito is the one who pissed his pants out of fear - because otherwise he would already signed the contract," Mosley said.

"I have already faced the best at lightweight, welterweight and junior middleweight and achieved a lot more than Antonio Margarito. Therefore, he needs me a lot more than I need him. I'm a professional and I am willing to finalize our fight and give the fans the fans to see this kind of fight in 2009."
