New Zealand heavyweight Shane Cameron (18-0, 16KOs) , 29, kept his undefeated record when he landed a deadly left hook in the eight round to stop veteran Bob Mirovic on the undercard to the Anthony Mundine-Sam Soliman rematch at the Sydney Entertainment Centre in Australia.

After he came out blazing in the first round, Cameron told his corner that he felt his right hand was broken. In the fifth, a nasty cut was opened above Cameron's right eye and by the eight, he was cut above both eyes with blood streaming down both sides of his face.

Because his right hand was likely broken, Cameron had to stick to his jab and wait for an opening.

For the last few months, Cameron has been calling out fellow New Zealand heavyweight David Tua. Tua has said on more than one occasion that he would not gain anything by fighting Cameron and refuses to fight him unless there is a lot of money at stake.
