The Sunday Star Times reports that New Zealand heavyweight Shane Cameron (19-1) is planning a return to the ring in February. On the verge of landing a fight in America, Cameron was upset in his last outing against veteran Friday Ahunanya (Nov. 2). It was a bloody war that saw Cameron in a world of trouble as he was barely able to see, a result of the blood pouring down his face from numerous facial cuts. He was stopped in the twelfth and final round.

Cameron told the paper that he's consulting a plastic surgeon to find out why he bleeds so bad in his fights.

"I am sure there is something we can do," Cameron said. "A few people I have spoken to are very positive. There is nothing to talk about at this stage, but it is something I am working on. The cuts are the only thing letting me down at this stage so we need to work something out, see if there is something I can do to strengthen the skin. If there's a way we will find it. I've got a bit of time now and we will work on that a hell of a lot for the next fight."
