On the same day, when the Alien has lost his unearthly aura in a shutout loss to Sergey Kovalev overseas, Sergey's younger compatriot Aik "Humanoid" Shakhnazaryan improved his record to 15-0, 6 KOs, after the sixth-round stoppage of overmatched Mexican import Omar Valenzuela (8-3-2, 4 KOs). That was the sole boxing match of a card, staged by Pushka Promotions in a borderline Estonian city of Narva.
WBO #12 Shakhnazaryan also captured a vacant IBF Youth light welterweight title while winning his sixth fight this year. Humanoid's hit list includes former contender Alisher Rakhimov and well-known journeyman Felix Lora among others. Aik was ahead on all the scorecards at the time of stoppage: 50-45 (x2) and 49-45.
