Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer is going to explore the possibility of placing heavyweight contender Seth Mitchell (22-0-1, 16KOs) on a show Golden Boy is trying to finalize on September 16th in Las Vegas, which is going to be a possible ESPN televised special on the eve of the Floyd Mayweather-Victor Ortiz pay-per-view.
Mitchell was scheduled to face Mike Mollo in the co-feature position to the Robert Guerrero-Marcos Maidana junior welterweight bout on August 27th in San Jose, California - but the entire card was cancelled on Thursday after Guerrero suffered a left shoulder inujury during a Wednesday sparring session.
