Opportunity knocks when Sergio ‘Yeyo’ Thompson (27-2, 25KOs) fights WBC champion super featherweight champion Takashi Miura (25-2-2, 19KOs), on August 17th in Cancun.
All too aware of this key chance, Yeyo said: “This fight is my shot. After I became champion, many doors will be open for me to keep growing as fighter and become one of the best boxers in history. That’s my ambition.”
It has been a long and winding road for Sergio since he began in boxing in 2006, and it's time for payback for all the sacrifices he's made.
Sergio pledges he'll dedicate his victory to all the people in Quintana Roo who've magnificently supported him throughout his career.
