Sergio Prado (11-4-1, 4 KOs) is promising to give Dennis Ceylan (14-0-1, 7 KOs) the fight of his life when the featherweights go toe-to-toe in a ten round contest on Saturday, June 20 at the Ballerup Super Arena in Copenhagen.
Calling into question the London 2012 Olympian’s professional credentials, the supremely confident Spaniard reveals his plan to spoil Ceylan’s undefeated record.
‘’Dennis is a talented boxer, with an extensive amateur background, but as a professional, he is untested and has certainly never fought anyone like me,’’ said the former Spanish and European Bantamweight Champion.
‘’I’m faster than him, I’ve got better stamina and I believe my work rate will make all the difference I don’t mean to brag but I feel like I’ve got the total package. I can box, I can punch, I’m fast, I’m accurate and I hit hard.
‘’Believe me, he is not going to have a pleasant night. I have all the tools to spoil his undefeated record and there is no doubt I’m going to win because I’m a better boxer; it’s as simple as that.’’
In preparation for their ten-round contest, Prado has enlisted the help of two of Ceylan’s former opponents, Antonio Rodriguez and Ivan Ruiz Morote. ‘’Antonio and Ivan are gym mates of mine,’’ said the 32 year-old. ‘’They have both given me some useful hints on the best way to beat him.’’
He will also be bringing with him a man with experience of defeating a Danish fighter on their home turf. His coach Ricardo Sanchez Atocha guided Guido Pitto to an eighth-round technical knockout victory over the popular Aarhus-boxer Reda Zam Zam in 2012.
‘’The Danish fans may remember that it was my coach who oversaw Guido Pitto’s destruction of Reda Zam Zam,’’ said Prado. ‘’On June 20, history will repeat itself when another Danish fighter is defeated. It’s nothing personal, and I’m sorry I have to be the one to spoil the show, but I’m coming to beat Ceylan and nothing will stop me!’’
In the evening's main event Patrick Nielsen (25-1, 12 KOs) faces Charles Adamu (23-6, 17 KOs) in the first defence of his WBA International Super Middleweight title, while younger brother Micki Nielsen (17-0, 12 KOs) takes on experienced cruiserweight contender Ismail Abdoul (56-34-2, 20 KOs) and lightweight prospect Rashid Kassem (8-0, 5 KOs) battles Reynaldo Mora (7-1-1, 4 KOs).
