Pablo Sarmiento, the trainer of WBC middleweight champion Sergio Martinez (51-2-2, 28KOs), expects his fighter to return in March or April of next year. Martinez suffered several injuries during April's twelve round unanimous decision victory over British contender Martin Murray. Pablo says there have been zero discussions regarding Sergio's next opponent. The biggest fight for Sergio in 2014 will IBO/WBA champion Gennady Golovkin - if he defeats Curtis Stevens in November.

"Sergio is doing very well. Sergio no longer has any pain in his hand or his knee. He's already working out. He swims and works out for one hour every day. He goes to physically therapy twice a day. [He will be back] in March or April of next year. I just have to find out who the opponent is going to be," Sarmiento said to BoxingScene.com.
