Sergio Martinez has shown fight-stopping power since crashing the scene with a TKO win over Alex Bunema in 2008, but he hasn't won inside the distance since 2012.

Martinez (51-2-2, 28 KOs) believes that will change with his June 7 middleweight championship defense against Miguel Cotto (38-4, 31 KOs) on HBO PPV.

"I'm sure that I will win the fight by knockout because I'm training in a very hard and intense way and with such motivation that everyday I'm hitting harder, throwing more punches," Martinez said through a translator on a media conference call Tuesday. "Whatever Cotto will do in the ring, doesn't matter to me, I don't care."

A reported questioned Martinez's power at middleweight, to which the champ scoffed: "I knocked out Dzinziruk and I showed power.  I knocked out Paul Williams and I showed power."

Cotto is fighting at middleweight for the first time which should aide "Maravilla" in his quest for the KO.
