Middleweight Sergio Martinez (49-2-2) has no doubt that WBC champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. will fall on Saturday night at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
After making weight in past fights, Chavez usually entered the ring with a weight gain of 20 more pounds and overwhelmed opponents with his size and strength.
Martinez is not worried about the size. He expects Chavez to rely on his size for victory, but the Argentine boxer is going to use his boxing skills, and speed, to use Chavez's size against him.
"This has been the best training camp of my career. I have everything necessary to win. I'm better fighter, and I'm convinced that I'm going to knock him out before the end of the twelfth round. I also have the experience of having dealt with big opponents, which is also going to help me make good decisions," Martinez said.
"He probably feels his physical strength and his size and might be a good thing for him, but if he plans to win by being bigger and stronger - he already lost. I am ready for a real war."
