In the aftermath of Alfredo Angulo's first round destruction of Joachim Alcine at Agua Caliente in Rancho Mirage, California, boxing scribe Gabriel Montoya [who is also the co-host of BoxingScene's audio show 'Leave It In The Ring Radio'] told promoter Gary Shaw that Lou DiBella was interested in matching WBC middleweight champion Sergio Martinez against Alfredo Angulo.

Shaw replied, and said Angulo only fights at junior middleweight. Montoya reminded Shaw about his earlier comment, where he stated Angulo would fight anyone from "junior middleweight to heavyweight." And then it was brought to Shaw's attention that Martinez is willing to fight as low as 155-pounds, which is the lowest weight possible where the middleweight title would still be at stake.

Shaw said Angulo would fight Martinez, but only at 154-pounds, and further said that he doesn't believe in catch-weights.
