WBC middleweight champion Sergio Martinez (51-2-2, 28KOs) has already derailed two of Top Rank's superstars, and now he's eager to take another one down. In April of 2010, Martinez upset Kelly Pavlik to capture the WBC and WBO middleweight titles. After the loss, Pavlik was never the same fighter. In 2012, Martinez dominated Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. to reclaim the WBC's middleweight title. Chavez has since left the middleweight division.

"[Top Rank's CEO]  Bob Arum has not done well against me, because first I beat Kelly Pavlik who was his boxer, and later on I beat Julio Cesar Chávez Jr., and I believe that now it's going to be Cotto. But it is also true that with Bob Arum it is always possible to negotiate very well," Martinez told Carlos Irusta.
