The former 108-pound champion of the WBO, Ivan Calderon , is reportedly close to a deal to have a rematch with Giovani Segura on April 2 in Mexico, according to sources to sources familiar with the dicussions . The  financial factor  involved with the television has made the decision go in this direction. Calderon lost his title and unbeaten record on August 28 of last year when Segura defeated him by an eighth-round knockout   in Guaynabo .

Ivan Rivera , president of the PR Best Boxing , confirmed that there is a r eal possibility that Calderón will travel to Mexico to fight with Segura in the rematch because the Mexican boxer had previously agreed to fight Calderon in Puerto Rico.
