It’s no bull…Jorge El Travieso (scamp) Arce,  says he’ll polish off Hussein Hussein again, and then he’s going after Rosendo “El Bufalo” Alvarez.

Alvarez is the only boxer to put the hint of a blemish on the unbeaten record of Ricardo “El Finito” Lopez (51-0-1).  In Mexico City’s Plaza de Toros 7/3/98  El Bufalo charged, and decked Ricardo. The bout ended after eight rounds, following an accidental clash of heads, and was declared a draw. Ricardo won the re-match in November that year with a split decision, even though Alvarez had come in overweight.

First, Arce must again defeat Hussein Hussein on the October 8th undercard of the Diego Corrales V Jose Luis Castillo re-match.

In a thrilla, back on March, Arce, who suffered an appalling cut to the bridge of his nose, rallied after a give and take war to stop the tough Aussie with a tenth round TKO.

And brimming and bubbling, if not overflowing with confidence Jorge said: “This preparation has been great. I’ve been training alongside Jose Luis Castillo in Temoaya  High Altitude Center, and I’m already 100 percent ready to win by knockout.

“Why a rematch with Hussein Hussein? Because the fans want a re-match and the other reason is good money.”

But Jorge was quick to compliment a valiant ring foe. He said of Hussein Hussein: “He’s very, very brave and has such a big heart. But I feel that I’m stronger than him and a better fighter and I’m going to prove it.”

The first fight against Hussein was for the WBC’s Interim Flyweight title and the chance to fight the current champ Pongsaklek Wonjongam. But Jorge says he really wants to take on Rosendo Alvarez who’s ranked just below him at number two, and he issued this personal jibe and challenge: “Come on Rosendo. Come on Bufalo, don’t be a chicken. Sign and we can fight for lots of bank notes.”
