In his first bout since being stopped by IBF middleweight champion Arthur Abraham, Edison Miranda (31-3, 27 KOs) returned to crush Emmanuel Esparza (20-8-1, 5 KOs) in three rounds at the Hard Rock LIVE Arena in Hollywood, Florida. Miranda dropped Esparza in the third for the full count with a massive left.
In the main event, junior middleweight Sechew Powell (25-2, 15 KOs) stopped Christian Lloyd Joseph (12-8-3, 5 KOs), also in three rounds. Powell had Joseph in trouble in the second round and finished him off in the third. The second win for Powell since being upset by Deandre Latimore last June.
In his pro debut, Olympic welterweight Jonathan Gonzalez (1-0, 1 KO) knocked out Alejandro Arteola (0-1), and it was stopped in the magical round, number three, after a barrage by Gonzalez.
