At Stadthalle in Rostock, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany, it was "Hurricane" time at the packed Town Halle when IBF middleweight champ Sebastian "Hurrikan" Sylvester defended the title against Mahir "Lion" Oral. Sylvester had it tougher than expected early and was cut after an accidental clash of heads but broke through in the fourth and hurt Oral with a right to the head. Mahir didn´t go down but took a bad beating in the remainder of the round.

Oral never came back and just wasn´t strong enough to stay with the champion but he was certainly brave enough showing a big heart in defeat. "Lion" was down in the eighth, ninth and eleventh rounds but lasted the distance losing on scores of 117-107, 119-106 and 117-107.

Heavyweight prospect Kubrat Pulev (9-0, 5KOs) passed his biggest test to date by winning a unanimous eight round decision over veteran Dominick Guinn (33-7, 22KOs). It was scored 80-72 on two cards and 79-73 on the third. Guinn put up a good fight in the early rounds but settled into the role of survivor halfway through the fight with the talented Pulev pouring it on but he couldn´t put away his experienced opponent.

WBC/WBA/WBO female welterweight champion Cecilia Braekhus (15-0, 3KOs) stopped previously undefeated Mikaela Lauren (6-1, 1KOs) within seventh rounds of action to retain her unified crown.

Rising light heavyweight contender Dustin Dirks (17-0, 12KOs) stopped Billy Boyle in seven rounds.

Light heavyweight prospect Robert Woge (4-0, 3KOs) won a lackluster four round split decision over Orial Kolaj (4-4).

Middleweight contender Thomas Troelenberg (21-2, 10KOs) was stopped in the third round of his rematch with Mariusz Cendrowski (21-2, 8KOs). Cendrowski had beaten him the first time with an eight round unanimous decision back in June. After winning 21 without a loss, Troelenberg has now suffered two defeats in a row.

Middleweight prospect Marcus Nader (9-0, 1KOs) boxed his way to an eight round unanimous decision over Sandor Ramocsa (9-9, 4KOs).

Lightweight contender Kim Poulsen (14-1, 3KOs) won a six round unanimous decision over Alexey Shorokhov (3-4, 3KOs). Poulsen returns on November 20 in Denmark against Saber Gasmi.
