David Benavidez has no shortage of HUGE fights on his radar. In an exclusive interview with BoxingScene, Jose Benavidez Sr. makes it clear that David still wants the biggest names at 175lbs including Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev. Benavidez has previously said those are two fights he wants to make as he pursues more titles and major challenges. But there’s another name that could make things very interesting: Andy Ruiz Jr. Jose discusses the possibility of an all-Mexican showdown between Benavidez and the former heavyweight champion, along with David’s plans across multiple divisions. And with a potential Jai Opetaia showdown also building after the pair came face-to-face following Opetaia’s latest victory, Benavidez has some massive options ahead.

ProboxTV’s championship series is now on the ProBoxTV YouTube channel for $5/month.

Sebastian “The Towering Inferno” Fundora has emerged as the replacement for injured Keith Thurman to meet WBO 154-pound champion Tim Tszyu March 30 in the debut Amazon Prime Video pay-per-view card in Las Vegas, BoxingScene has learned.
Two officials with knowledge of the negotiations said Premier Boxing Champions product Fundora (20-1-1, 13 KOs) will move up from his spot opening the pay-per-view portion of the card to instead fight Tszyu (24-0, 17 KOs) in the main event at T-Mobile Arena.
Fundora, standing at a staggering 6-feet-5 ½ and wielding an 80-inch reach, adds significant intrigue to the bout given his unique body frame and tendency to engage in all-action firefights.
Additionally, because his previously scheduled bout against Serhii Bohachuk was to be for the vacant 154-pound belt, WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman tells BoxingScene his executive board is huddling to decide whether to make Tszyu-Fundora a WBO-WBC unified title affair.
Fundora, from Coachella, Calif., is coming off a seventh-round knockout loss to Brian Mendoza in April.
Before that, in 2022, he stopped former 154-pound title challenger Erickson Lubin and defeated former welterweight title challenger Carlos Ocampo by a wide unanimous decision.
Officials are still assessing where to place Bohachuk on the card. Bohachuk is promoted by Tom Loeffler.
