Sean Turner will get the chance to headline a show for the first time in his young career.
The 24-year-old Dublin-based heavyweight has been confirmed as the participant in the main event of MGM Promotions’ first Irish show of the year.
Turner, nicknamed ‘Big Sexy’, has raced to 7-0 (5 KOs) since turning over in June, 2014 and will take on an opponent to be named on February 5 at the Roadstone Club in Kingswood Cross.
He was most recently out at Dublin’s National Stadium last November when he ousted vastly overmatched Hungarian opponent Gabor Farkas (7-38-6, 3 KOs) in just 71 seconds.
Elsewhere, Steve Collins Jr. (5-0-1, 1 KO) and Ciaran Mullen (1-0-1) will join the first fighter to be confirmed for the show, Gerard Whitehouse (4-0, 1 KO), with further announcements to be made in due course.
Tickets, priced at €40 (standard) and €60 (ringside) are on sale now and can be purchased from the boxers themselves or by emailing info@mgm.com.es
