SCOTT QUIGG wants a showdown with British super-bantamweight champion Jason Booth.

Unbeaten Quigg will showcase his talents when he features in the chief supporting contest to Matthew Hatton’s European welterweight title defence against Switzerland’s Roberto Belge on Friday November 26.

Quigg, 22, is still awaiting confirmation of his opponent for the clash in the Premier Suite at Bolton’s Reebok Stadium, but is guaranteed valuable exposure on Sky Sports.

Bury’s recently crowned WBA international champion is highly ranked in the organisation's world rankings, but is more interested in Booth than global glory.

Quigg, who has won all 20 professional fights said:  “My next fight should get me more recognition and lead to a British or European title fight.

“Jason is my top target and although it would be a very hard fight, I am very confident of beating him.

“He is very skilful and experienced, but might have peaked. I am more than ready for him.”

Two of Quigg’s last three fights have taken place in his hometown, where the local council lifted a ban after meeting with Hatton Promotions.

The youngster has packed 1400 fans into Castle Leisure Centre for those memorable occasions which brought him stoppages of Andrey Kostin and Santiago Allione.

And he expects a huge following in Bolton, claiming: “I will sell around 600 tickets in advance and I reckon there will be more on the night.”

The full undercard will be announced later this month, but one fighter appearing is big ticket selling light-middleweight Adam ‘The Bomber’ Etches.

Sheffield’s Etches made a successful professional debut earlier this month stopping experienced Lester Walsh inside two rounds.

Hatton Promotions CEO Williams added: “Hatton Promotions first spotted Adam in an amateur tournament last year and we believe he will become a major player in years to come.
