As if he did not have enough problems, former WBO featherweight champion Scott Harrison has been ordered to by a judge to sell his homes in order to pay off money his owes in back taxes. The court gave him six weeks to get the homes sold. He plans to sell one or two of his three homes.
After a terrible 2006, the new year is getting off to a rough start for Harrison. Inactive since 2005, Harrison was in all sorts of trouble in 2006, including a lengthy stay in a Spanish jail for alleged assault, failing to make weight for a bout with Nicky Cook, being stripped of his WBO title, and being dropped by his promoter Frank Warren.
Harrison said that the profits from selling the homes would be more than enough to pay the owed back tax.
