Scotland on Sunday revealed that WBO featherweight champion Scott Harrison was diagnosed with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). He was diagnosed with the disorder while being treated in a Belfast clinic in the summer, for problems with alcohol and depression. It is said that OCD is a psychiatric condition in which the individual becomes continually anxious because of their recurrent and persistent thoughts or impulses.

Harrison's health condition was revealed following the boxer's arrest in Spain, where he is being held in prison while facing a serious charge of  assaulting a Spanish police officer.
