Promoter Frank Warren told the Evening Gazette, that his former fighter Scott Harrison is "finished." Warren has had his share of problems with promoting Harrison during their   five year relationship. The final nail in Harrison’s promotional coffin came when he pulled out from Saturday's title defense against Nicky Cook, citing weight issues, and vacated his WBO featherweight title.

Harrison has not fought in over a year, pushed back numerous bout dates, was arrested twice, spent time in the Priory Clinic for alcohol problems, and was incarcerated for six weeks in a Spanish jail for alleged assault.

Warren had previously called the Cook fight off when Harrison landed in a Spanish jail, but reinstated the bout when the Harrison urged him that he wanted to fight and would be fully ready once he was released from prison.

"Scott Harrison is gone as far as I am concerned. He is out of it, he is gone and the future of boxing is sitting to my right and to my left (referring to Amir Khan and British featherweight champion Andy Morris). These are the guys who are focused on their profession and carrying the standard into the next decade."
