If all goes according to plan, a proposed rematch between rivals Bernard Hopkins and Roy Jones, Jr. may get finalized by next week.

The NY Post reports that Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer is traveling to Florida next week to meet with Roy Jones, Jr. in an effort to get Jones' signature on the fight contract.

The two fighters first met 14-years ago, when Jones won a unanimous decision to win the vacant IBF middleweight title. The rematch would take place on July 21 with the broadcast being shown on HBO pay-per-view.

Hopkins has agreed to the current terms of the contract, and said the ball is in Jones' court to make the fight happen.

"It's basically up to Roy if he wants to fight," said Hopkins
