All Danny Garcia has done is go 25-0 with 16 knockouts. The super lightweight champion from Philadelphia has beaten the likes of Nate Campbell and Kendall Holt and Amir Khan. The fourth-round TKO of Khan in July 2012 really seemed to show that Garcia - a Golden Boy boxer - is a fighter really on the rise. Still, he's not yet getting the attention of an elite fighter. Schaefer said that will come.
"He is one of the guys it doesn't matter who you put him in with, he delivers," Schaefer said. "There was a basketball player (Karl Malone) they called "The Mailman.' Maybe Danny Garcia's name should be 'The Mailman' because every time you put him in, he delivers and he does it in spectacular fashion.
"I'm very proud of what he has accomplished and he keeps chopping them down, so I'm sure the media will come around as well and say we really have a very special fighter here."
Garcia will defend his two belts against Zab Judah (42-7, 29 KOs) on April 27 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn (on Showtime).
