Gilberto "El Yaqui" Parra of Sonora could not overcome the class of former world champion Saul "El Baby" Juarez, who captured the Latin minumweight championship of the World Boxing Council (CMB) with a knockout at 1:57 of the ninth round, in what was the main event fight of Boxeo Telemundo in Mexico City, in an event presented by All Star Boxing Inc and Sports Productions.

Juarez imposed the conditions from the first round by fighting a mid-range and counterattacking, and working with hooks to the body.

The punches and the patience gave Juarez the advantage in the first announce of the scorecards, 36-40, 37-39 and 37-39, which forced Parra to press with everything in search of recovering an edge in the scores, as he was releasing the best punches possible.

As the fight progressed, the mental and physical advantage was key to the development of the fight where Juarez dominated more and more clearly, to the extent of reaching the second announced tallies with scores of 73-79, 74-78 and 74-78.

And the came in the ninth where Laurentino Pérez said no more after Parra was being punished and could no longer answer back.

Prior to the start of the fight, a tribute was given to the memory of Don Rafael "La Cobra" Mendoza, a man who left a mark in the world of boxing and was one of the fundamental pillars of the success of All Star Boxing, and therefore a great figure that paraded through the Telemundo Boxing screens.

In the televised co-feature, Abraham "Choko" Rodriguez saw his unbeaten run ended by the hands of Alejandro "El Pacquiao" Villaseñor - who defeated him by TKO at the start of the sixth round, as the doctor would not allow him to continue due to a bad cut.
