Eddy Reynoso, the trainer and co-manager of undefeated Saúl "Canelo" Álvarez, has responded to the recent comments that were made by promoter Tutico Zabala at the WBO's ongoing convention in Cartagena, Colombia.

At the convention, Zabala was very vocal about his ongoing lawsuit in Miami, Florida against Alvarez and Golden Boy Promotions. Zabala claims that Alvarez signed a four year promotional contract and there are two years remaining on that contract. Golden Boy signed Alvarez to a promotional contract earlier this year and recently gave him a lucrative extension.

"We are the owners of the fighter since he was a boy and we have given him our full support. The main thing that I would like to reiterate is that we are 200% with Golden Boy Promotions and Oscar De La Hoya takes care of everything. Alvarez has fought in the United States before [he signed with Golden Boy] and nobody has bothered us. That is all that I can say of this matter. Tutico has never done anything for Canelo, other than get him a fight and he paid him four or five thousand dollars. That is all that he ever invested in Saúl," Reynoso said.

Alvarez is going to fight on December 4 against Lovemore Ndou. Reynoso says the fight will go ahead on that date, with Ndou, but it will not longer take place in Cancun, Mexico. Two locations are being negotiated on.
