Sauerland Says We Could See Cruiserweight Super Six

We could be seeing a lot of interesting fights at cruiserweight. On Saturday night in Neubrandenburg, Germany, Steve "USS" Cunningham regained the IBF cruiserweight title with a fifth round TKO over Troy Ross, who was stopped one second into the round with badly injured left eye. The injury was caused by what was called a legal punch and both Ross´ eyes looked swollen even before the fight.

On the scorecards the fight was a draw after four with Cunningham suffering a flash knockdown in the fourth but came back and later in the round scored with a punch right into the eye of Ross, who turned away from the action in strong pain.

Cunningham is now signed to Sauerland Event who also have WBO champ Marco Huck in the stable and are close to WBC ruler Krzystof Wlodarczyk and yes, there will be unification fights.

"Call it the Super Six or Super Four or unification fights - but it will happen," said Kalle Sauerland.

Disgusting Decision in Troy Ross Match Wow, I am absolutely amazed. I watched that fight between Troy Ross vs. Steve "USS" Cunningham. I am amazed first off that after four rounds, the judges could actually have scored it a draw. Troy Ross was in control of that whole fight. He was completely outboxing Cunningham, perhaps you might score one round a draw, but then in the fourth round, Troy Ross knocked Cunningham down. It was not a "FLASH" knockdown, it was clearly hard and on the chin. Ross started to proceed forward to take control and Cunningham throws a light punch and the replays all clearly show the thumb of Cunningham ripping the eyelid of Troy Ross. Ross immediately turned away as it was clearly a FOUL. I can understand how the referee might not have seen this at first, but the replays clearly show this. The fight in reality should have gone to the scorecards, but now I'm reading above that the fight was a draw up to that point. This is also suspicious as Steve "USS" Cunningham just signed a multifight deal with Sauerland. It is obvious whom they wanted to win this fight. I believe Troy Ross should have a rematch and in the least if they do have a Cruiserweight Super Six, which would be extremely exciting, Troy Ross should be in it. Having said that, the fight had to be stopped by the doctor at that point. That was a good decision as Troy Ross clearly could not see through his eye after having Cunninghams thumb rip right into it.

Get me a tourney at 126, that's the one I would really look forward to ,I know it's wishful thinking , John vs vasquez jr juanma vs Marquez ciclon vs cab that's the 1st round matchups,

I'd be happy with any boxing tournament that takes place amongst the elite. The weight classes you mentioned will most likely not have a tournament, politics havae too much of impact. Yeah your're right. Atleast it will get me familiarized with this weight class again. I havent been moved by cruiser in some years now. Maybe Ill add a favorite fighter to my list after this.
