Ruben Santillanosa has dropped a unanimous twelve round decision to former world challenger Tommy Browne of Australia in a battle for the vacant IBO and IBF Pan Pacific super featherweight titles in Sydney, Australia.

Santillanosa was coming off three successive wins although he fought only once over eight rounds, defeating Daniel Hoskins by a fourth round TKO last November 25

Browne who lost by decision in a WBC featherweight title fight to South Korea’s Injin Chi two years ago scored a lopsided win over the Australia-based Filipino who is not even rated by the Games and Amusements Board.

Anthony Shipley had Browne the winner 119-110, Craig Waller scored it 117-112 and Des Bloyd gave it to the Australian 118-110.

Boxrec reported Santillanosa’s record as 5-9 with 4 KO’s while Browne improved to 24-4-1 with 8 knockouts. Browne was coming off a six round decision over another Filipino Rolando Gerongco last December 9. However, he lost by a tenth round TKO to WBA featherweight champion  Chris John of Indonesia in a title fight last August 7.
