Undefeated middleweight Wilson "TNT" Santana (18-0, 16KOS) arrived in Mexico with a lot of confidence as he trash talked Marco Antonio Rubio. They clash this Saturday. He took a few swings at Rubio's nickname of "Poison."
"I am so afraid!...Poison "Rubio?... Who is he? ...'What' ... How scary ... I am so afraid," Santana said.
He later vowed to end the career of Rubio, stating that the Mexican veteran will not make it past the fifth round of their fight. Santana is upset with Rubio and his promoter for what he calls "disrespect." He is angry because Rubio has been negotiating to make a deal for his next fight, a WBC eliminator with Canadian puncher David Lemieux.
"Rubio will not pass the fifth round. He had a successful career, but I'm sorry, his days are numbered. I'm going to massacre him," Santana said. "I've seen him fight several times and Rubio is no big deal. I'll show him and his promoters that they can not disrespect a fighter of my class because I do not like that they are already talking about Rubio taking part in a March eliminator. I'll have to make him swallow his words. Mexican boxing will have a bad start in 2011 because I'll knock "Poison" out in the early rounds, I promise."
